Snow Forecast

Good advice from Yeti, especially "Don't make any sudden changes of speed or direction". The simplest way to put it is: do everything slowly but smoothly.

However, can't say i recommend using gears to slow down. Essentially, the braking and stopping method doesn't change when driving in the snow, it should be done gently and in plenty time, that's all. Change down too early or clumsy release of the clutch is as bad as jabbing the brakes.

sideways even with the new tyres...and sideways that will end in a wall, heap of smoke and possibly even fire...

I hope it snows...its then an excuse as to why i cant go to the dentist tomorrow :) But i hope it goes by weekend as then i can get back to Leeds..

Never driven in snow before, and to be honest i dont want to...I've made it 1 month without disasters (that i caused anyway), dont want one now I've only got 1 car journey left for 3 months

Hmm lets see if I can get an indicated 120 again in the work car park

I got stuck last year on the little drive bit going up to the bellwank security gates.

Took 3 of us to push my other Saxo that I had at the time to the car park.

If the snow is deep, remember where the kerbs are.

if you read the met report thing it seems like its all been blown out of preparation, it says it'll snow then rain, happy dayz

Best fun I've ever had on the roads was when it snowed last year. And the very first time I had a puncture was in a couple of inches of snow, not nice changin g a wheel when you cant feel your hands.

yay snow :p

snows fun when you know someone with a e30 318i

hehehe

I reckon it's been blown out of proportion tbh  I want snow..9:13 and still no snow!!

it snowed here..

for a minuite or so :(

No Snow Here .

Doubt there will be ..

I enjoyed playing in the snow last year ..

In the cinemas back carpark a huge open space ..

Reverse 180 skids turn into 540 skids ..

Take care though on the roads i travled around at no more than 20Mph you cant stop for shit .

Everyone take care iff there effected this year . We dont want more polo's in the scrappers or even worse a injured or dead enthusiast .

We have snow, I'm so tempted to go put my exhaust on and drive without the brakes working, just for some snow fun! Might not be the best plan though.....

Yeah, theres snow on the roof off my car but all the roof tops and that don't have any snow on them. Its hailing at the moment. But not settling cause it must have rained earlier.

BOOO!

We got snow here in Scarborough, just wish i wasnt at work so i could play in it!!

Heres a very shakey pic of my car this morning, taken on my phone so not very good, but you can see the amount we had over night about a 10mm, and its been snowing most of the morning too.

I dont know mate i lifted them from edition 38 i was wondering why there was snow behind the cars wheels yet non on the car itself ..

All in all though beutiful .. Worthy as a background for the PC .

I can't use the excuse 'i can't get into work because it's snowing' as i live 2miles away so i guess i'll be walking in :( damnit. lol

I cant get away with that one either, my work is within walking distance and i work for my family. Boohoo.
