for new year i went to see some family on the i o w, the roads over their are so cool, thy twist and turn but they also seem to tilt as well! there was this one road called the old military road and it was so much fun, I've nva driven on roads like that and i cannot wait to go back, also i saw so many polos in southampton, only down side to my little trip was getting pulled for driving with my foglights on, but if u dont get pulled ure not living the full experience where do you think the best place to drive is?

Perthshire in Scotlands been the best place for me so far. Sadly I was in a 1.1 Punto so it struggled with the hills though

If you want somewhere with long, sweeping bends, and really fast, go over towards Inverness way or maybe a bit South

yer scotland is one place I'm gonna visit in my car some time this year! went there last year and i loved everything about the place, some awsome scenary!

I've riddin round the isle of weight both ways on my push bike. Every year they hold a day for the round the island where a couple of thousand people all ride round in no hurry just chatting as they go. haven't done it for a couple of years. Done it when i was 15 dont think i am as fit now than i was then. The roads on the island are surprisingly open and very smooth.

I haven't really been around the UK driving, but two places that really stand out are the Isle of Man and Epynt millitery ranges.

The Isle of Man is a weired type of nice. Some of the roads are incredibly bumpy, their also very random. Huge crests and compressions, fast long sweeping bents.

My favorite is Epynt. Anyone been there? Built by the army in the 1940s(ish). Smooth tarmac but very up and down. Very fast in places, twisty in other places. HUGE jumps and camberd corners. The army keep the roads in tip top condition fair play.

I was a passenger round the IOW in a R5.... Those roads were great! If only I was on the car insurance!

i really like the roads up around county durham.

not been up there in my car yet, was there in a company landrover surveying all the A roads.

the isle of white is awesome to drive on! did it last year in my polo it was wicked. You can get some proper scenic picks up on the hillls in the east of the island behind some seaside town I've forgotten the name off!

The west of the island is very beautiful aswell. My fav part was going up the side of the cliffs on that one main road that goes from the south east to the west through all the fields then up onto chalk cliffs! scary shit in the rain lol.

Good roads = Scotland. If anyone is up here for a drive be sure to give some of us a shout.

We're planning a trip over to the west coast next spring/summer.

If anyone reads EVO magazine you'll know that they have a good knack at finding awesome roads. They often review cars in Wales due to the great roads there.

I'm sure England has its fair share of roads but you have a lot of flat land in places...can't beat some good elevations. There are countless roads to explore in the UK. I've spent 4 years exploring locally and I can still find new routes.

Cairn o' Mount:

Probably one of the best roads in the North East of Scotland. 30 mile drive from home, then it's about a 20 mile drive from end to end. Goes from sea level right up to 452 meters and back down again. You'll see towards the end of the video the surroundings changing from open land (near the summit and covered in heather) to covered forest roads...typical of this road, it has many different sections. Fast and flowing as well as slow and very technical. I am going to get a film of the whole route some day, it's great.

I'm not sure how many people on here drive B-roads and unclassified roads often? I spend most of my time driving for fun and I avoid the city and trunk roads as much as possible. This is the reason why I'm constantly worrying about my H&R Cup kit being too firm, as in the real world you need compliancy and give from the suspension.

I really enjoy the roads in the derbyshire dales between Derby and hudefsfield there is a superb route snaking through the valys with lakes rivers and resevoirs to shoot around . Much better than being sat on the M1 even iff it takes alot longer .

i think its the A55 through betws-y-coed in north wales.

Always go there for holidays and I've found many places that would be good to take pics of the car, found 1 class road that you can get a good view of the needles and the road if your willing to climb a bit.

Once I've past my test the 1st mission I'm doing is the IOW for a weekend.

Then I've got to go down Scotland to find some roads.

Need to go on all them roads they found on top gear :p that last 1 they found looked amazing!

I totally agree there are some great places to take pics of the car and the like. I got this of my boyfriend in the sea at the needles... I know its not car related but for a W610i I think its pretty good!

I'm lucky,in north derbyshire surrounded by quality driving roads.

Cat-and-fiddle between buxton and macclesfield has got to be up there with the best!

Some nice roads up here.

Us Scottish peeps have a lot of good roads just on our doorstep. I remember coming back from a Perth meet on my own in the summer across some backroads behind Dundee, was immense fun!
