been busy in the garage over xmas and just b4 turning my polo into something that won't get laughed down the strip @ santa pod like my skoda octavia was

I spent time b4 xmas stripping and doing some major weight reduction then packed it up while i got some cash together for what it needed, have whored most of the parts that i need but was waiting for time and effort to get the prep done for paint and replace what was rusty.

(apologies if this is anyones polo i grabbed the image off google but this is what we're aiming for bad i know cos i did it on paint)

waiting til Jan payday to order new panels then going to be painted and airbrushed very soon

aim is to have it ready for testing mid feb then running with the vwdrc next season in the sportsman class........

opinions pointers would be helpful have only had golfs before this one

loks like youve got it all p0lanned out not too sure about having the name on the door though if you posted a pic of a black polo/yours and the ewheles you wanted someone might photshop the whels on in orange if thats better than paint :thumbsup:

forgot to say the name on the door is a bit of a laugh in the style of the old drag beetles as the vwdrc is mainly aircooled. we chose dave cos it was a bit silly rather than a play on words like the bugs have

will be running 6n steels in orange/bronze then airbrushing designs on the door

just a quick note to add, if you want to keep it road legal you will need a small electric heater to de mist the dash for the mot.

just incase you didnt know.
