What Size Tyres you running on 14" STEELS?

Featured Replies

hey,

I have a set of 14" steels from a mk2 jetta that I intend to stick on my '91 polo saloon, its quite low and just wondered what size tyres people are running? I currently have some 185/55 R14 for them but it would be cool if I could get something with a lower profile side wall. Any help would be grand :)

Depends on the width of the steels. You can get Yokohama A539's in 185/50 r 14 but these are getting hard to come by. Demon Tweeks have some in stock I think.

I'm using a 6J alloy, I went for 195/45 r14 Toyo Proxes T1-R's...£50 cheaper for a set than A539's after shopping around. A539's are suppose to be of a really high quality. 6J is the thinnest rim you'll get a 195/45 on though. Ideally you'd be using 6.5-7J.

If you aren't running mega power and don't need a lot of traction, I'd go 165/55, pretty low profile sidewall, and sit just about square on a 6J

cool cheers I'll have a search ont tinterweb
