Seat Terra Van!

Featured Replies

Alright,

Many of you know that i purchased the van of currie, and after a few months of debating wether to sell or not, i have decided to keep it!

I want to try and make it a completly on off van..

Basiclly i have come up with a few ideas, which are...

Complety strip it down to the shell, and respray in either white with a balck and white checkerd bonnet.

or

Complete respray in red oxide, or another matt colour.

I was also thinking about trying to lower it (somehow) then get her riding on either some mattigs or wellers!

Then finally i would either want to drop in a GT engine, or just maybe a g40? ( can always dream  )

What do you lot think of the plans?

I just need some other ideas, all ideas and photoshops welcome!

what kinda springs are on the rear of it? if there leaf ones does the axal sit on top of the springs or underneath? and am i right in thinking that a lot of the mechnics of the car are shared with the polo? if so maybe you could use bits and bobs from a polo to lower the front?

if it was mine i"d go with wellers and some kinda dark matt colour (maybe purple?), maybe even turn it in to a pick up?

Personally I always thought it looked awesome as it was. Just needed to be dragging its hoop.

do you know what paint was used to paint it green?

as some matt green paint has a really bad reaction with other paint, so to paint you have to get every last bit off

I'm still yet to see the coolness in these

there god damn ugly lol

only good for stealing the engine thats it!

They are leaf springs and the axle is ontop of the springs!

Was thinking about turning it into a pickup, but the back is bloody usefull and be ideal for kipping in the back at shows :p

Dont get me wrong, i think this a fab van, but seeing as theres rust appearing thought id do a complete revamp!

Go for revamp. Making sure the bodywork is sound is probably most important

Just go crazy with it..........think it will take a bit for it to handle some big power!!!

Chrome stacks, truck mirrors, anything random you can find, throw on it!!!

Rear mounted rover V8 or Rolls royce Merlin engine!! You gotta keep the cube back - its part of the whole appeal of the thing. Saw it at BVF it looked bad!

Seconded :?

If i had to drive it i`d probs get some hydro`s fitted  and get that front end bouncing 3ft in the air

Either that or stick something silly quick in the back and be a track slag embarreser

personally i reckon it would look better with the roof at the same lower level with the cab roof, other than that black wellers would look lush

Erm.. I dont really like it that much if I'm honest, but i could see it being a bit of a laugh.

I dont know what you should do but i think it should go red oxide, love that colour

John

Keep the high roof, adds to the character. Since these vans were derived from the original Fiat Pandas, I wonder if you could use the 4WD system ;)

I think you should deck it low low low on some small chrome steelies!

I'm pretty sure its genuine nato ex surplus paint as used on tanks, jeeps, and my old hatchy van lol and you can get it from www.anchorsupplies.co.uk

they do it in a dusty/sand desert camo colour, go for that, jack it up, spare wheel on the back, big jerry can, military arials and turn it into a mini military van lol
