Hi there, the time has come for me to order my vinyl roof but I've failed at the first hurdle.. the size of the roof lol, can someone please measure the width of their roof and the lenght, I'm not being lazy i can do it on mine but the cars at my mums and I'm at my dads now and only go to my mums friday so cant really get there to measure it before.

Bare in mind that its dark but the width is 85.5cms wide (between the black rubber runners) and 187.5cm length

Please don't blame me if it doesn't fit, maybe ask some other people and take an average???

right people I've done my homewok and asked for prices on the roof sheet and also a sheet for the door pillars i didnt get the sizes of these so i just asked for a sheet taht will cover them (what i think will anwyayz)i asked for:

I've managed to get hold of the dimensions of the roof and it appears to have a width of 85.5cms (between the black rubber runners) and 187.5cm in length. so can i have a sheet of 95cm wide and 195 in lenght please.

also i would like to do my b pillars also so can i have a price for these i dont no the dimensions for these so can i have the price for a sheet thats 100cm x 30cm please

and this was the reply i got for the sizes i asked for:

Right the vinyl roof will be £15.00 this will comoe with a squeege aplicator

sheet of vinyl £5

Postage £4.50

will do mate I've asked for thickness aswell so as its so cheap it might be like paper if so i will get some thicker stuff

lol, nice one oh and let me know how easy it is lol, barrin in mind mine has a sunroof :p

haha it might be abit harder with a sunroof then... what i will be doing is removing the aerial so theres just a hole and removing the roof rubbers tucking it in there then refitting the rubbers so it looks abit neater then cutting the hole for the aerial when its all fitted.

the way i will be fitting it will be the soapy water technique which is mix alot of washing up liquid in some water and coat the area to covered with vinyl this will allow you to move it about on the roof to get it perfecta need you dont have to worry about getting it bang on first time and to remove bubbles (if there are any) wil be either with a spongey grip thing or a window cleaners brush thing (the rubber thing on a shaft).

because if I'm doing taht i may aswell get the roof sprayed and that is what I'm trying to remove because of the price, one day i will but atm i cant afford it

My mate and I have just orderd vinyl to do our roofs and I like the idea of removing my ariel but is there a way of fitting a discreet areal which workes well somewhere it cannot be seen.
