cheers. think some of the the mk5 models have them? can anyone confirm?

Anyone?

hey,

my mark 5 (6n2) has the same thing as in the pic above, however the cup holder is on the left side, and the coin holder is on the right side. i thought it was standard equipment, but could be wrong.

Cool, thanks that was what i wanted to know

Hi,

Its not a complete unit, that is to say: you can buy the cup holder or the coin unit separately. They screw into the fascia.

Try vagparts.com or VW if you have no luck here.

Yeah i tried vagparts but they dont have them.

I'm thinking about asking a few breaker yards to see if they have any polo mk5s. iv already rang loads asking for lupos but no breakers have any at all!

think its only the 1.4 or higher model mk5 polos that have the coin trays I'm after?

I think only SE trim and higher... try VW; I can't see it being more than £10...

Thanks for help

I'm quite sure VW still do them, I bought 2 cup holder units 1 more instead of the coin tray, but that was 2 years ago!

I think I paid 50 odd for the holding unit, 2 cupholder units, fixtures and fitting from VW, They did come on the 1.4 Match as standard as with the Gti.

if i remb only GTi models has these features, i had exact in my polo5 polo gti. at one point i was going to buy a set of ebay, take out the coin tray and replace it with another cup holder =)...dont know how much they are in VAGS though

reason I'm asking is cos i want to change the coin tray into an ipod dock. some of you guys maybe interested in this one.

See this Link (great idea)....Clicky!

I've got a 6n2 1.4 Match and can confirm that I a have cupholder on the left, coin tray on the right.

Polo D has kindly given me the following VW part numbers for the parts i require....

6N0 858 373 [Coin holder]

6N0 858 342 [Trim for Coin holder]

Is there a website i can now go on to order these parts? or what do i need to do next?

I wouldnt mind getting a quote before i order aswel.

great idea, what a clever guy!

one thing i will say is that it depending on how you drive and how bumpy the roads are, the ipod could fall out of the dock. so i wonder if something like this could be done without using a dock (perhaps using the headphone socket instead) that way, depending what ipod you have, you could leave it flat in the tray (yet again, i spose the fact that it stands up nicely may appeal to some people as that looks pretty cool etc).

anyway, good luck doing it all. are you buying the one from him or making your own?

id presume making his own thats why he wants the coin tray!

anyway smart idea boss, good luck. free bump only cos i want one in the *ahem* mk3
