corsa's like any other car have good and bad points.. you might buy a minter, you might buy a shitter. end of the day its down to personal opinion, you're own taste & maybe even a bit of luck.

Would you like me to explain what happened to your Chav transport?? Also Bus isn't cheap, Chav's are....

Main reason I've never liked Corsa's (driven Corsa B and C whilst learning and also driven the new one, a VXR at that) is that they're so damn un-involving to drive...

Coupled with the fact that none of the controls in the B and C feel like they're connected to anything and if they are, its through a vast drum of yogurt but the worst thing I find is the A pillar which is so damn chunky, it proper blocks my view of the road...

and the VXR, don't get me started, nearly torque-steered into a tree, handling is appalling

I've just got my first car, a 1 litrre polo and i absolutley love it, non power steering dont bother me atall, plus corsa's are a tad bit chavvy

I'd be interested to get quotes on a corsa, polo, saxo, and a couple of other similar cars - I would actually have though the corse/saxo would be higher due to them being the car of choice for young (chav) drivers, meaning more claims against them, making them higher risk to the insurance company?

No, corsa's are in one of the lowest insurance groups. A polo of the same age would be approx 5 groups higher. I dont

know why, just the way it is. But young drivers are young drivers, whatever they drive, you only notice more chavs driving corsas because your subconciously looking out for it.

Corsas are good cars, especially the B's. My grandad will only own Jaguars or Vauxhall's, so they cant be all that bad.

I've lost all interest in cars and from a non-modding perspective i would consider an old Corsa TD. But if i was bothered about the 'image' and was into modding i would buy VW.

There's nothing wrong with Corsa's really, it's just that they've got a bad name (as have Saxo's and 106's etc) for being barry boy cars. Because they are cheap cars, young people buy them and tend to do cheap chavvish stick on modifications to them which makes them look awful and give the cars a bad reputation.

I think that if you apply the same subtle style of modification to a Corsa that is seen done to the majority of Polo's on here it would look pretty nice and be a cheap and reliable car to own as a first car.

If you would really like to get a Polo as your first car why don't you look at getting a Mk3 GT, they are cheaper to buy in the first place and cheap to maintain whilst being a reliable daily car. OK they don't come with power steering but imho you don't need it on a Mk3 anyway as they are pretty light.

i'm condemned to the bus as well, although i mostly choose to walk. buses are demoralizing, i actually feel like a low life using one, i just hate being paraded though my local area, past people i know on them, its embarrassing

with the mk3's are there ay other dash's and interiors that u can swap relatively easily? and also the standard steering wheel looks a bit nasty. are newer polo steering wheels i.e 6n / more recent interchangeable? or would i have to go aftermarket? thanks for the replys peaple

gt/g40 inteeriers are normally what people put in them, and they ain't too bad, they give a sporty feel whilst adding a few thing to stop it looking so empty, not sure on the steering wheels, but i didn't mind my gt one to be honest.
