depends what you wanna get sent over, I've used DHL in the past. there pretty resonable.

Its a set of wheels.

Total weight around 64lb's

not dhl then, just looked on there website and it would be about 300 quid!

nah it would be 150, its 29kgs aparrently. but as the wheels themselves work out to be about £35 per wheel i dont want to have to spend that again for postage!

but i spose £60 a wheel isnt bad.

depends if i sell my wellers and get these instead. if i can get decent money for them then ill get them.

They're reasonable until they wreck your parcel and then they play pass the blame until you get bored! They were lucky it was only the bass controller of my £1200 amp they wrecked!

Remember you need to add import duty as well.. just incase you packaged gets caught..

If you ensure that the seller or stockist makes sure that the item is a 'GIFT' then they do not charge you tax.

Well you can try that and some might but you are asking them to do something illegal and the sender can get big fines if they caught. Anything marked as Gift will still get charged import duty if the item is over £36. The amount of duty depends on what the item is and then you have to add VAT. Also add any charges that the UK carrier may add.

Saying all this in the years I have been getting stuff shipped from the US I have never been charged. But the way I look at it I add up all the costs including duty and VAT and If it is still worth it I go ahead.
