reet i live in sheffield witch is basically pothole city

and today I've managed to destroy my shock absorber on one i as driving up a hill today not speeding or anything then all of a sudern the car goes into a drop and then bounces out with a massive bang

i pull up cause the car seemed to be leaning and found out the road have broke though to sand and damaged all my shock and snapped the centre exhaust section bracket from the exhaust.

I've got some new shock and spring to pout on the car so I'm alright but I've never got time to do this as i always at work

and I'm annoyed at the fact i rang the council and they filled it and they said we carnt do anything about your car they just gave me a number to complainto witch doent actually work

Write a proper formal letter to the council. Like one of the higher up people. The phone monkeys are only there to tell you they can't do nothing because most people ring up and if they are told they aren't entitled to anything they will just give up. If your persistent and hassle the right people you should be able to get some money back or something.

Slightly daft how you pay your road tax, your car is damaged by a badly maintained road and they won't take blame for it. But if you missed paying your road tax they'd be all over you like a rash telling you that they are going to crush your car.

Ring your insurance and they should deal with it through the council and you wont lose your no claims.
