the bottom end is from the terra van mainly in the uk, but on the continent was fitted to diesel polos.

got the MOT friday and it seems to be gettin happier with miles, cant wait to get it on some better management with a proper map, the one i have at the moment is pretty poor.

All i can say is ....sweet as....it sounds great, cant wait for a drive out once she's all loose

just got to finish the interior and modify another front bumper, had a bit of an accident this afternoon - lowered it and tried to drive out the garage, not realising two pieces of carpet would be enough to rip the bumper off!

well i dropped the sump off this week and got that fixed up properly as the oil return boss was a bit leaky. changed the 10/40 mineral oil out for some semi synth. castrol 10/40 and seems to like it a bit more, when iv got a few more miles on it i have some 10/60 miller stuff to go in.

had a few oil pressure problems with the mineral but think the semi synth has fixed that - got to wire my gauge properly.

only got 250 ish miles on it so still a long way to go but should be looking toward fitting the new management soon, but need to fit it around my busy year as I'm going to be out n about for a few months.

10-60 sounds abit thick to me, may put uneeded stress on the oil pump and be a less effective lubricant than a fully synthetic 0/5/10w-40

10w60 is bob on for performance use in replacing an OE 10w40 oil. When a car is pushed hard, the high temps and petrol vapour passing the rings will thin the oil down so its not as effective. When my G40 was chipped, you can definately get a petroly odour when you do an oil change.

Just make sure you get an oil thermostated sandwich plate when the oil cooler is fitted.

seeing as I've got the same mirrors as you and done somthing very similar to my front bumper do you mind telling me where i can get the door card material you'v used? if its that plastic corrugated stuff
