so as some of you will know about 3 months ago i bought a standard mk1 campaign nice and cheap, plans were to restore it. i soon got bored of that idea and thought i'd just have some fun with it. so this week end i got to work on it.

heres how it was...

and after a productive weekend...

next up coilovers and a scaffold bar turned into a side exit, maybe a couple of choice stencils thrown in for good measure too

just thought i'd keep you all up to date on the progress.

strange isnt it - the schmidt wheels are called revolutions, thats because schmidt - are in fact "schmidt revolution" as a company name

those wheels are "modern lines"

go on the schmidt website, see what sizes you can buy them in schmidt

and the revolution wheels are called "RFX" check the website revolution

Its the same wheel - just different diameters by each company!

well to every one that says its a waste hasn't seen it close up, both sills have holes in, the one arch trim i took off was hiding some nasty rust (so that got put straight back on, if you can't see it it don't exist ) and there are big rust bubbles on the roof. i only paid £150 for the car, so i might as well have some fun with it, then i can either reshell it when i'm done or brake it for a massive profit.

tobyk, the indicators are already fitted and the passenger one can be seen in the last pic if you look hard enough

Narrow_Lane, i'm gonna stick with the twin lights, on the campaigns the inner lights are fog lights (on normal gti's there the high beam) so with these ones i can drive around with them on all the time

walshc, don't worry mate, coilies are next on the list, and the red shit is where the chrome has flaked off. not sure if i'm gonna bother sorting it or not but if i do i'll just get them shot blasted then polish the bastards like i did my old power techs.
