vibe.. or hifonics.. or JBL

Featured Replies

hmm. i wanted the AC-evo, with two space 12" in. (space2). its in a bandpass box alreay built. the only problem with this could be that it only has one port for connections, so i would have to run them both of one amp.

so i went into bass junkies the other day, to seee what they reckon.

basically he said:" **** that ****, have this: the hifonics goliath".

he offer me two 12" subbs, with amps to power them, in a custom box in my boot, with a power cap, and wiring kit. which he would fit forr £1100.

i was like.. wtf. sound as a pound. so i said yer ill get back to you.

i then went to .. crap forgot the name of the place now. motoroworld! thats the one lol.

and they said:

"**** what bass junkies say, hifonics is just a step up from toxic, which are ****."

and he offer me. the 2 latest JBL subbs, with 2 amps. for the same price and said it would be better. but with no box, or power cap. or wiring kit. or fitting lol. but he promised it would be better.

so then i askd his opinin on vibe and he then said:

" ok jus go for vibe. that AC-evo is well better than the JBL and hifonics."

jus because of the quality.

buttttt. the AC-evo is a bandpass box, and wouldnt give me the vibrations, or the loudness of bass i wanted. but **** hot quality..

so i realllllly duno what to do here guys lol.

the vibe ac evo:

hope it helps

All the shops are going to compete when you go in and flash some money.

From personnal experience, Bass Junkies are shit.

what do u want from the system ? sq , streetbass ?

SPL. somehing that can damage my hearing. but gota be quality. u can hear it from streets away. you can feel it from a distance.

whats the diff between street bass and spl lol?

i think you mean street bass spl is pure competition car all about hitting big number with a one note wonder

street bass is low tuned heavy playing sytems like mine :)

i would deffo speak to dave as he is a street bass daddy and will sort you out with some awesome stuff he'll tell you the best setup for your budget and he'll get you a box design, a good install is not about the equipment but the install ;)

Its all about the dirty street bass ;)

mine will be done for march and will be on a stand at donny ;)

have a listen it hurts lol

Can't wait to see it in the flesh someday man.

hello mate listen to mr mbh69 if its street bass your after his rocks i herd it at awsome gti in summer.

also check out K & M ACOUSTICS or 01942820174 they are the bass kings of uk.

dont forget its not just about a new battery with 3200 watts it would be a good idea to get a bigger alternater (k & m can sort that) upgrade all engine grounds etc theres more to it than big amp an 2 subs.

hope this helps

theres loads of stuff wrong with what there trying to sell you

1. 2x 15" subs will need about 4cuft each + port and sub displacement no way it's going in a polo boot 1 will fit and sound better than 2 but i wouldn't want bass junkies designing the box ;)

2. 3200rms will need a split charge with a decent battery in the boot next to the amp and probably at least a 90 amp alt but better with a 120 amp ;)

if i was you and you are serious about buying decent kit go on talkaudio as they aren't being paid or trying to sell you anything they will give honoust and reliable advice

if it were me in a polo i would either squeeze in 2 decent 12" subs in a ported box tuned between 30 - 35hz and a suitable amp no bigger than 2000rms as any more and you will have to start upgrading lots of things alt batts etc just a decent battery under the bonnet with all the wiring upgraded ;)

now i reckon dave from direct ice could do you 2 12" oz matrix elites subs, a starsound amp rated betewwt 1500 - 2000 rms wiring and a box design for around £600 - 700 and a little more he could build the box too ;)

a single 15 will fit also

but you will have no boot space at all with these installs at least to do it properly

the thing with sites like this is people which have a vibe sub etc think that there installs are amazing but they have never heard a decent install a single 12" sub could easily be one of the loudest installs you'v heard if done right

all i can say is don't rush if your serious about gettin the most for your money come speak to me at a show get to a talkaudio meet don't trust shops there all trying to make money

You can't seriously be paying Bass Junkies to install something for you....

bass junkies build a box for you?

give it to an expert place mate or build it yourself.

unless youre building a massive box e.g. the size of the boot and majority of the back seat space, 2 x15s aint gonna work.

oh and putting that much power on a standard polo alternator wouldnt be advisable.

if your going to be spending over a grand, look into every option before you buy & do it properly.

no chance of fittin them into a boot and for them to work well ;)
