slingin a gt lump in my 1.05l '89 saloon in a week or too (just lavishing a bit or service attention on the new lump), and i want better brakes on the front.......so i'm after a complete front setup off a g40 ideally, but as i understand it gt calipers are the same (vw2??)......

(update: bought calipers + carriers 16/01/08 still after the other bits though)

.....g40 arb would be nice too....as would a mk3/gt petrol tank + sender unit/lift pump......CASH WAITING

From what I can remember GT brakes are the same as any other Polo. They are only solid discs! G40 brakes are vented. There is a complete G40 conversion on Ebay at the moment and its pretty cheap!

shit i just thought! will a g40 brake convo go under 13inch rims?

It depends what rims ure using. My bro has just tried to fit a set of 13inch Ronals onto his Mk2 with a G40 brake setup and they touch the carriers! You need to get the carriers from a Cl or a GT and the calipers from a G40. They will then fit under most 13's!

i have some VWII calipers for sale if required?

well i bought the ones of ebay......lol with g40 carriers, so as soon as i get em and fit em.......or not lol i may well need some gt or cl carriers very soon..........so lets add them to the list...........................just in case..............again cash waiting.............
