Mk3 polo 1.3cl coupe for sale

Featured Replies

Sorry it’s a bit of a story but relevant…..

The time has come to sell my polo. I always new it would be a long term project but it has taken too long (student funds). I ve had the car since September 2006. Over that time I have changed small things when I have had the money. I would love to keep the car as it is brilliant but the fact is I went studying abroad in august which means its been stood for 5 months. Now I have just found out I have the opportunity to do another 5 months of studying abroad, an opportunity I wont let slip. In a nutshell I wont be in England for most of 2008 and its already been stood so its just not fair on the polo.

Since returning from abroad the car wouldn’t start so I have replaced the battery and all is fine. It doesn’t start on to cold or wet mornings simply because the warm air feed isn’t attached. This is easy and cheap to replace. Cant see it being more than £2 from a scrappie.

While I was away tax and mot ran out. Mot will be included in sale but 6months tax will depend on sale amount.

Last year it sailed through the mot and pretty damn sure it will do again.

Unfortunately the car was bumped while parked before I went away and is just in process of being repaired. It was minor damage requiring repair to the d/s wing. Been reviewing the repair work and it really top class work.

General info on car includes:

1993 polo coupe on L reg

61k miles i missed last service by 4k otherwise fsh (little things carried out my self oil, etc)

12 month mot

6 month tax (maybe)

3 previous owners. (1 posh old lady from new and the garage dealer I bought it off and myself)

Things I have done to the car:

Nicely lowered 70mm all round philJ kit

Upgraded interior G40 spec minus s/wheel

New chrome vw badge front and rear

Vw1300 badge

removed side strips

Chrome trim (easily removed)

Clear indicators

Cl repeaters

8ball gear knob

rev counter clocks

polished P-slots (will be an extra £150 if wanted with car come with excellent tyres)

Gt Steelies

all in all things that improve the car for originality rather than adding for personal touch.

Things that required replacing while I have owned the car

exhaust

Cam seal

Battery

Air filter

And that’s it really has been a brilliant car.

Body work is in very good condition for age (no dents) and so is the engine bay.

Now for bad points:

Drives bolster in good condition but seat material showing wear and tear

Very few rust areas most noticeable one is the size of a 10p under petrol cap others really require indepth study of bodywork.

The car has been one I have really enjoyed and sad to see go for me and end of an era.

Its never broken down always started first time till I lost warm air feed lol

Some one is getting an excellent car, no doubt.

Looking £650 o.n.o (with tax)

£580 o.n.o (without tax)

any interest

some pictures not the most recent but will get some asap.

the p-slots are an extra 150 if you want with car. i was originally planning to keep them for a future project. they are not on the car at the moment the car will come with gt steelies.

Cool i wasnt wanting the P-Slots i was just wondering iff you had that stance on 15" wheels but there 14"

  • Author

hi m8 sorry bout l8 reply.

there was nothing majorly wrongly with the car when i last drove it. But like i said its been sat for 5 months whilst i been abroad. I'm currently not insured to drive it but i am sure that the car is in tip top condition. Its a really good and reliable. I've had the car over a year and its been my best car so far.

the car with p slots & tax = £800

car with p slots no tax = £720

cheers

This polo is wicked, its ridiculously clean for a white coupe, the engine bay is really clean too. This car has to be seen. I've been out in it a few times and it runs as well as it looks...

Bump for a mint polo...

cool man

well i hope it still drives well cos I'm really interested in buying this.
