Well, i had a fun day today...

I woke up this morning with the intention of borrowing my dads car to return the rad i bought for my GT to GSF, popping in to uni to hand in some coursework (which i got an extension for because i needed 2 weeks off uni when i crashed my other polo), then driving home in time for my dad to go to work at 2...

Here's what actually happened:

I woke up this morning, went to GSF, returned the rad, then headed for uni. I was happily sat at some traffic lights at a crossroads, which then changed to green, so i started to drive off, then when i was halfway across the junction - BANG!

An 86 year old man had gone through a red light, and hit the front drivers side wing. From the damage it looks like he must've been going for it - the TOP of the bonnet was damaged, the wheel bent inward slightly, cracked bumper, and the whole front end is basically pointing to the left a bit now...which means the car (1994 Vauxhall Cavalier)is now a write off...so he's not too happy at the mo...

The funny(ish) thing was that the old man got out of his car (whilst i was on the phone to the police) and walked across the road and went into a shop, and i could see from the window that he just looked like he was browsing....

Anyway, the old man has admitted fault, i have two witnesses who both made statements incase he changes his mind, and he has been told to surrender his licence or he will be prosecuted...

So, not bad - 2 cars written off in 2 months!

But seriously....86 and still driving?!?!!? It makes me almost afraid to drive!!

May not look like much, but trust me, its fooked!

Yeah, the police officer said to me if he keeps his licence it could happen again and again until eventually he kills someone, which is fairy nuff.

My mum and dad bought a new car about 5 years ago, parked at my nans and the woman from accross the road reversed straight into it. She was diabetic and hadnt told her insurance company so it was void. Luckily she pid my parents in cash!

Theres a bloke to my road with a sharan who has alzamers and if I see him leave I will leave a bit after him cos he stamps on the brakes for no reason

My granda has alzheimers. He had to surrender his licence so I'm presuming it should be the same with this guy...it cant be one rule for one and not for the other

Lol, cheers. We got delivered a courtesy car today - brand spanky new-ish Astra SXI! Quite nice for a Vauxhall.

Hmm...was it for the same reason? My GT was fitted with the rad from the 1.4 Diesel, and VW told me it would take 7-10 days AT LEAST.....

But i managed to find a new one on eBay, with next day delivery, think the seller might have a few if you need one?

Mum and dad had a funny story to tell me when they'd just popped to a neighbouring small town.

Some old bloke in a car park, pulled straight out without looking and smacked into the side of some guy's fairly new car. Huffing and puffing, the younger guy told the pensioner to move down the road a bit as they were blocking other cars where they were.

So the younger guy drove down the path followed by the OAP. Pulling up, SMACK! The old duffer had rear-ended the guy as well as the car park collision!

Very enraged, he yelled "Do you want me to turn my car around so you can hit the front aswell? *%£^*!!!"
