whats the best wheels to put on my polo I'm lookin for 16's don't mind what width but i do like the look of bbs type wheels if they are silver i am willing to paint them so they are black and silver to match the body colour (black) any suggestions? thanks :-D

BBS RX in 16" is the perfect wheel for a Mk5 GTi. Looks awesome and you can't not like it, won't effect the resale value of the car like some less discrete aftermarket rims might. Should of rolled out the factory on these...

Def. go with silver against the black paint work of the car, it'll set it off nicely.

Don't you think they just look mind numbingly boring though? Pretty much every modded mk5 has smoothed bumpers and BBS RX/RXII's.

It's a fact BBS look nice on most polos - definetly mk5s..

But how can you ask what is the best wheel? You're only gonna get mixed opinions..

I hate smoothed bumpers. I don't find 16" RX's mind numbingly boring...I find the tantilisingly appealing. They play off the cars styling well...they look somewhat like the standard wheels but are different enough to be original. It doesn't look modified...just looks right. They fit the look of the car better than 15's which often look too smal/fidly with the split rims. Fitting the 16" RX's shows you have exceptional taste...now mouse has the WORST taste in shirts...but he got his wheels right.

I didnt mean any offence to anyone by that comment, i must add. I just don't think they look special at all! I'm not a huge fan of D90's either if I'm honest, but having seen them in the flesh on Domino's mk5 (the one i posted) they really suit the shape of the car... I guess we are both arguing the same argument, but over different wheels

Yeah I got that, just bantering back. See the fact you don't think they look "special" is the reason I think they look good.

RX's aren't boring, they just aren't as flash as RM's or something like that. You could say RM's are boring because everyone has them on their Polo
