Got a megasquirt ECU that'll take care of it all, just need to get an Innovate LC-1 wideband setup and finish my inlet manifold and then it cal all start getting put on, might take a while yet though Hoping to start mapping in the mext few months.

yeah, might be able to adjust it a bit for the door pods but the seats would need the subframes modifying.

I got it from a member on here after he had an accident in his rally car (slight frontend knock so cage was ok)

I believe the (cheapest I could find) they are £477.31 brand new from here for a full cage:

Megasquirt ECU allows you to map your car properly and get the best power possible, this'll allow me to properly fuel the engines with my throttle bodies.

Whilst you can get the original VW Digifant engine management system remapped, it relies on a signal from the airflow meter as well as the throttle position sensor to detect how much load the engine's under. When you switch to running ITBs you would need to run a plenum chamber to retain the air flow meter - but the air pulses in the inlet tract really upset the flap on the air flow meter, making it give squiffy readings. This makes it very hard to get the car running nicely at idle or low loads.

With Megasquirt you've got a lot more flexibility as to how you set it all up, so you can avoid this problem. The alternative would be to switch to a hotwire airflow meter and use Digifant.

AHAAAA! (she cried). Being an engineering numpty I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make the manifold that is going to hold my carbs on because the ports are oval and the carbs are round. Now I know, thank you so so much! :-D

I'll be mostly cutting up toilet rolls this evening to figure out how I'm going to do it in metal!
