New right wing

New Fuel Tank

and points refitted

needs doing...

A new cam belt

new exhaust system

apart from that all running smoothly

cheers, yea it drives alright, clutch is a bit dodgy and it takes a while to get going on a cold morning, and i think the suspension has just about had it but apart from that its a pretty fun drive.

Great condition for it's age, polo c I believe. I had one of these as my first mk2 and it never had any probs other than the cold weather starts which is pretty standard. Make sure you have the hot air pipe from the manifold in place which helps. Use the search option and FAQ's and you'll learn loads about it.

The build quality on these earlier mk2's is better than my 89 cl which is one of the spanish built ones. Looks totally old school in that colour

Are the reverse lights different on early ones? On mine the whole bottom part of the cluster is clear where as yours has a clear square in it.

Well noticed on the brake light, i've never seen that before? maybe only on the early, early ones.

My 86 polo c didn't have that.

I might tint mine.

lovely......so nice to see a clean standard square love them, as for rear lights all irish models had the small square reversing lamp got a few here,

very clean mate! like the retro colour, the susp. can easily be sorted with new bushes and a lowering kit
