I've got two

a drift tamiya tt01(electric)

with the trueno shell

my first attemp at drifting, (not very good as it was first go, but you get the... err... drift)

and a 1.5hp 60mph hpi rs4 (nitro)

ino one of the guys in the 1st pic guy with the beany on...god them were the days.... come at 6.30 int morning eaten your dinner by breakfast lol....then venture upstairs for them gristle burgers lol

miss it soo much but I just can't afford it along with the other things I do these days

yeh its a expensive hobby....like i said, spend more money on it than the real car, then when you real car becomes ill....you end up spending loads! lol

We should have a club polo rc day! haven't used mine in ages, not since I've been in guildford. Not really many places to race around here

i know what u mean about no where to race, i live in south east kent and the nearest place to me is barham, which isnt far really but i haven't used my rc cars cause its boring on your own even if your just messing about!

I've had about 20 rc cars in total but now I've only got 3 at the moment, they are;

-Tamiya TT01

-Team Associated TC3

-Tamiya mini

i have an hpi mt2 that is shaged but i do however have this on my farm: http://www.bolwextric.co.uk/rem/index.html , its nuts has held the xray champs, at least one national and has run several of its own race series now and its only been running a couple of years!

I've got a tamiya lucnh box (getting custom body for it)

and a done up grass hopper :p

got a sts .28 powered savage

an a b4 with a nice 19t in it

altho was half way through selling up sold my tranny one night an made £160

an never got round to selling rest lol

i found my old mardave mini earlier and also found two vw mk2 golf shells!

Shaft driven 4x4, .21 engine, its rapid and jumps so good :-D

Its broke at the minute though need a spur gear, and no one deals with protech near me, so have to order from the factory in Belgium, only problem there is that it recently got burnt down

There was a similar thread on here about RC cars, theres loads of people on here who are into them, iirc someone races them in tournaments

i have a nitro 21. xtr bog standard apart from blue alloy wheel nuts and all blue quick releases so nothin special.

have you tried either formby models or wigan models mate if they dont have it your fucked :-D. iw as going to bring mine to the mk4 meet but i lost my glow plug and £50 worth of fuel

i used to have a tamiya blazing star 4wd electric buggy that i got off a mate. It was shagged but i didnt care because i knew i couldnt afford a good one like the rich kids and there 300 quid rc cars !

so once i was in the game i attended the local rc car club, "off road" theme indoor lol. Anyway id turn up with the fucked blazing star and want to race, but the spoilt rich kids and the perfect rc cars would just laugh in me face !

i thought fuck em i dont need to look good I'm from the ghetto so yeah ! waked in a bog standard 540 motor and got racing. put shit loads of effort into racing trying me hardest but id always come last. id get laughed at lol !!

but i didnt care because i knew i didnt have the top powerful batteries or the phat ass speed controler or the quick servos so i thought fuck em !!!

then one day i went to my local dump to err dump shit lol and the me pops pointed out a rc car ! the council dudes take shit out they think may sell and make a few coin on the side. so i was like yo dude how much is this ...he was like ....fiver mate ..... i was like aye I'm having this ! it was a 2wd .Got home took the shell off which was way to big for the rc car and strapped all me electrics from blazing star !! think this new beast (well new to me lol) was a kyosho outrage ?

anyway i wanted to race the new thing but i couldnt unless i had a shell for it, some rules u see, so i MADE the blazin star shell fit the new car lol and i was away, still getting wooped in the stock 540 races.

Eventually i found the propa shell for the car and decorated it in a ghetto way lol cut pieces out of skater mags and celotaped it all down on to the shell !!! hahahha

then found a second hand modded motor (something like 8 turn single ? can't remember propa) and slapped it in, fuck changing the pinion, then took on the geeks with there expensive cars that mummy and daddy bought for them and daddy had tuned up for them.

i kicked arse like a mother !!! and they coulndt believe it well neither could i !!! no more taking the piss out of me ! infact theyd be like hahahhaha, even though i didnt have the expensive batteries that could power a building, or one of them chargers that plays christmas tunes at you when the batteries charged and tells you whats on tv 2night lol

and they would be well pissed off because id have everything set up wrong on it wide weels at front wrong tyres , suspension gear settings hahahha list goes on ! and till this day pple still get pissed off , but i love pissing em off !

even though its got play in every single part of it, things are superglued on, wrong settings and all that i still love it !!!

hey willwebby, you can get most if not all hpi bits on ebay :)
