there is no area function in grip!!!! area only affect tire wear!

Funny that...because slick tyres have an increased sufrace area contact patch with the road...please explain to me why a slick tyre of the same compound has more grip than a tyre with tread...or why worn tyres often have much better grip in dry road situations?
