I hear what you're saying, but every car for about the last God-knows-how-many years has had a steering lock on it, and therefore even the most inexperienced driver knows that it engages when the ignition key isn't in. So he is a spanner of the highest order.

trust me, when your bein towed it doesnt come to you until you go 'clunk' oh shit steering lock

I haven't even done my test but I know the horror of someone trashing your car... I was originally learning in a Rover 200 1.4 16v (pretty chavvy I know) and my sis was learning in it too.... but we have an awkward driveway to get into (you have to really concentrate), and she took it too fast... and there was my months and months saving pissed away... Parents offered to buy me a new one when they got money but I lost interest...

Then just over a year and a half later I joined ClubPolo, and about 6 months later I bought myself a mk3 Coupe so I'm back to the lessons...

As for the Scooby.... I bet he needed a stiff drink after that!!

Surely you would have some sort of signal to the driver of the towing vehicle, like 3 sharp bursts on the horn or something to make him stop immediatly.

Am i cruel for willing the car into the post ? I've been towed afew times and always had a signal incase i needed the tow driver to stop. It just makes sense. I doubt the guy driving the landrover would've heard the guy in the scooby shouting his head off, although it is quite funny!!!
