MoT enquirery line is 0845 600 5977

It is available to the public during the week (not sure about weekends) for all your questions. Get them to quote a paragragh or page number from the manual.

I recommend taking your car for MoT and then if it fails on the particular item you have researched then you can quote the paragraph/page number and ask them to re-test the vehicle as you have already contacted the enquirery line about the item in question.

DO NOT GO STRAIGHT IN AND SAY "I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ITEM AND THEY HAVE SAID THIS AND THAT"

Nobody likes to be told how to do their job and all you will achieve is getting the tester/testing station pissed off before the test, which is not a good thing!!
