Where can I get some good quality but reasonably priced cable ties. I just want a big bag of them as there useful to have.

I've tried a few types and they've mostly been shite. As in they start to eat there threads and come lose.

B&Q ones always seem to work fine for me and come in bags of 50 i think!

I just went to machine mart to get some bits and I just expected them to stock some and they didn't.

i work at a factory thast has shit loads so pinch some off them. most of em arnt good cause they have lugs on that fasten to car bodywork but a few are great, and free :)

i recently ran out of my uber cable ties, they were so strong, they had a metal ratchety thing in them and were vitually indestructible. cant for the life of me think where they were from.

b and q also sell them really useful tie down things that you loop through the cable tie and have a sticky pad on the back, only like £2.50 for 100

How many you after? I work for a theatre and we just ordered 20,000 for think it was 70 quid, if you are after loads il find out the site :) (n there good quality we hang loads of shit from them :D)

I got 600 from halfords in a tub for a tenner, different sizes and they were white, black and grey... Not that the colour makes any difference. But yeah theyve all been fine, which surprises me cause i hate halfords.

poundshop do them but they're so weak theyer only really useful for tie'in cables. which is funny cause thats what they are designed for.

we all just take advantage of the fact that if your desperate they can usually fix exhausts, shoes, anything hanging, lol

its really a close call but with a knife, some cable ties and a roll of gaffa and you can pretty much repair most things

Got shit loads at work and they are good enough to hold my lasses MK2 golf Bumper in place when it wouldnt fit properly. lol

its called the VW toolkit- 1 can of tyreweld, 1 sill jack cos your cars so low you cant get a trolley jack under it, 1 standard VW flip round screwdriver, a fuckin great hammer, a roll of black electrical tape, and a pack of zip ties. as currie says, you can pretty much fix anyhting! my old trainers i had for 3yrs cos i kept them alive with zip ties and they got worn every day lol

My jeans I wear for working on cars are kept together with cable ties (as shameful as it is )
