18inch on a 9n looks too big in most cases...16's or 17's at a stretch.

Yeah they'd look bollocks on a 9n polo as said before and so would the older version of the R32 almost definately read the recent threads about 18's on a 9n too because they will proper knacker your suspension, kill your acceleration and look rubbish if not lowered. 17's tops and lower it by whatever means necessary. Although if your car becomes a feature car in fast car with 18's on it then i will be jealous (But it definately won't make a feature with R32's on it)!!!!

is a good effort... but not to my taste with the 18" look waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too big IMO!!!

they look far too big for a 9n imo

for a perfect setup id go 8x17 and maybe 9x17 rear with some nice stretch and lowerage
