log book querey

Featured Replies

I recently bought a Polo GT and brought it home to Ireland. To tax it here I need to have the log book otherwise customs could lift the car and then I'm goosed. Anyone know how long it will take to get the log book or who I could ring to enquire? The Galway International Rally is on this wknd and I'd love to bring the Polo but the law would not be too impressed

Thanks

What happened to the log book? Costs £25+ to get another log book from the DVLA unless you have the little slip you get when it changes hands... BUT it has to be within 6weeks of getting the slip (should be dated). You need to call the DVLA if your in the UK not sure who to call in Ireland but if you call the DVLA they could point you in the right direction?

Have looked online and this is what it says:

irish tax info

Looks quite complicated?

Would also appear you dont need your logbook
