All completely original apart from lowering

great start for a project car

full head unit and new kenwood speakers

8-bal gear knob...YO!

nae so good:

car blew its head gasket in november, this has been repaired by a qualified mechanic, yet the car fails to start, still turns over though!

car has done around 140k

annoying bumps and random rust appear but nothing major or damaging, for age its pretty clean

i have spent annoyingly alot of coin to get the head gasket done and new parts for the engine, but due to finacial ruin I'm forced to sell!

This was my first veedub and first ever car and what a joy its been driving the GT sad to see it go!!

looking for around £400 but will consider all offers

I don't want ot be the bearer of bad news but I think £400 might be pushing it for a GT that doesn't run

mate I'm strugglin to sell mine for half that price with lower miles but the same problem.... did the headgasket now it wont run but turns over.......

hi mate, my friend had the same problem and everything was checked from the coil to the distributer. In this circuit is a relay switch which was gone, simple i know but took weeks to find and was by luck. it is located in the compartment at the top where the wipers are under the bonnet. there are 2 silver plug like boxes about 1" square and one is the relay switch in the ignition circuit. best way to test is to get someone to turn the ignition on while you put your ear colse to the box. if you dont hear an kind of electrical motor switch in the box then it maybe the problem. the relay is around 15 quid so could be a cheap fix.
