well i paid around 100 quid but that was for a few other things as well your first job is to check that the bolt holding the bush in is nice and tight if its loose nipe it up and see if you have the problem. then you can also check your drive shaft and your steering arm for damage mk4s have been know to have wear in them werth a check before you take it in !!

the clunking is back after some time

could it be my ARB??

My clunking noise happens on my top late which sits on the springs. It has slipped a coil

Check this aswell

^ My front offside spring has cracked and slipped off the mount which causes a clunking. Saying that its stopped for the time been

One of my springs had also slipped just after fitting. Refitted and no more clunking.

Mine dont do that. Refitted it 3 times but keeps slipping but it doesn't help that I am using a standard top plate :(

Mine slipped a couple of times. Bought new standard top plate and seemed to fix it. Was on FK website earlier and noticed they sold bigger top plates.

Thats the one!
