200sx S13 Drift Project

Featured Replies

These are 2 of my s13's, one of which i have given up on sadly, after 2 years it has a long rollercoaster of a story behind it, and it only got worse. When stripping it we found quite a few large rotton holes, would take months of hard work to weld up. These are just a few examples of the rot...

Just a few mainly structural bits of the car

So i've just bought another s13, low mileage, standard 1.8 turbo, auto  .

Alot less rust, a very nice clean example, to be ripped apart soon, got to start all over again.

Plans for the new one are,

Firstly strip out, down to absolutly bare shell, all windows out, suspension off ect.

Treat any rust and attempt any welding thats needed, lol.

Seam weld.

Get roll cage sorted and in.

Swap over my 5 stud conversion (which is about the only thing that got done to the old one)

Re-build suspension with new coilovers.

Put my bucket seats and harnesses in.

Put my beast of an engine in and ecu mapped.

Put my 2 way diff on.

Ok thats all i can think of for now, i know there is loads more but tierd to list them at the mo. I'll edit it and update when i can remember

Hopefully when finished will be a competition ready drift car, pulling close to around 450bhp  I'm gunna be scared anyways, but excited at the same time.

I know it's jap but i hope you'll like it anyways :-D

I'll be down at the weekend at some point so i'll go through what needs keeping.

And i'll be taking it down to drift practice as soon as it's manual, not sure how to drift an auto

It can be done, you just have to be really familiar with the kickdown points.

I am, still cant figure it out. Think i broke it on the way home tonight anyways, something on the back end doesn't sound healthy :?

that is cooool, after seeing the sumopower 350z (the pnk one) drifting I've always loved these drifters, i actualy still want a old starlet on minilites to drift

  • Author

Old starlets are awesome, you should see Stiggy's starlet in the EDC, it's insane!

That 350 is cool, even though it's pink

i dont really get drifting, but the cars are bloody wicked!

Not yet, think that's gunna happen towards the end of the year, i still need to source quite a few bits for it.

You would get drifting if you went to a pro competition, that's how i got into it, looked like great fun and very easy, until i tried it
