What about tesco's will they insure you were quite good with me untill i got it cheaper elsewere.

I've just got a quote for me:

17yr old

Polo GT

Policy in my own name

Wheels and lowered suspension

TPF&T, and I'm in Sheffield S21 which is a mediumish risk area. D i think it was.

£2000ish a year.

Also has £300 audio cover and some other stuff. Thats the cheapest I've found anywhere. I think it was Zenith in the end.

Only thing stopping me is finding a car!!

Have you tried us at Adrian Flux you get up to 15% discount for being a club member.

Dan.

Insured fully comp

In my mums name (me named)

£1256

and thats on a 16v that i got when i was 17.

Thats with Frizzell (http://www.frizzell.co.uk/csma/home)<part of Liverpool Vic>

Was looking around for renewal time and Tesco quoted me £650 again in my mums name (me being 18 and no NCB) but they let named drivers get their own NCB, although probs not transferable, when you get you own policy go with them for another year and bingo you have the NCB you built up.

But still £1256 is unbeatable on a valver at 17

so to be honest a 1l/1.3/1.4/1.6 shouldnt be much really, id be suprised if its over £1k

Compare this to my mate who is driving a corsa sxi 1.2 and is 17,got it in his name with direct line and is paying £2200 fully comp, thats like a Gr.3-4 and the 16v is a Gr.10

I know what i'd rather be driving and paying :D

yep endsleigh was best for me  if you are doing your own policy add a couple of experienced drivers to it as named drivers (parents) nocks the price down by a fair chunk
