I've got a 74 beetle that needs some work and I'm after a polo so badley,

I'm in the process of sorting it out to sell and just wondered if any one would be up for a swap, I'm after a 1990/91 polo, and engine sise as I'm planning a conversion,

at moment it needs £30 quid of carb parts and mabye new battery to run (drove absolutly fine and started first time 4 month ago)

been sat in my garage for a while now as i got my self into loads of debdt ( long story) so it aint moved for a bit and thus MOT and tax has exspired and with me not being able to afford insurance I've not been able to renew them,

chassis in good condition, majority of outer shell is also good although there are a few bad bits ( hole in bottom of door/arch etc)

its been de-seamed with bumper mounts removed

8x5.5(mabye 6) black ally cat alloys

1974 1285 model with recon engine currently on 44k

lots of recipts from previouse work done by last owner

no reason i can see it shouldnt go straight through MOT, slight bit of play in steering coloum ( i never noticed a problem but not sure what MOT man will think)

I've got front seats for it aswell as the rear bench, no carpet fitted as yet, in process of making new doorcards as old ones where bit nackard.

I'm open to offers really, I'm also after a MK 3 polo gt or mk3 golf 1.4 (prefer polo tho)

Where abouts are you based?

I just bought a 1992 Polo G40 coupe to use the engine in my 1990 Mk 3 Saloon. The 1.3 engine that is currently in my saloon is going into the coupe to either sell or use as a run around. The chassis on the coupe is very clean from what I can see. There is a full sevice history with the coupe. All engine work is being done professionally on the cars. With the coupe, are the origional G40 arches and bumper stips which are hard to come by. Let me know what you think as I would be happy to do a swap. The car would come with 2 sets of alloys. they are a set of 14" BBS old school rims and also a set of 15" Alessio multi spokes.
