Why do bonnet bras have Toblerones?

Featured Replies

This thought crossed my head today. Every single bra I've seen had them..

In case you don't realise what I'm talking about it's the 2 triangular shapes on the end..

incase you get hungry on a long journey? :?

its to hold toblerones in for that emergency snack when blood sugar dips

also i think the reason for them being there is most stones fly up off the bonnet is it an attempt to deflect them from hitting the screen?

But then surely they would have made it go round all the way?

to push the bra down at high speeds so it doesn't flap about maybe!

TBH its probably just styling. Like why do people debadge their cars and stuff...styling.

adz 2 you are seen pointz

I think JonDog got it - its to help push the edge of the bra down onto the bonnet when you're driving :)

well done jon one house point! :D

^^^^

thats why .. and i think theones without dont look as cool

I always thought they were there to help you put them on easier, maybe put a pole through to help pull it on if its a tight fit?

Pretty sure they are for toblerone stowage. I believe Alan Partridge invented them after running out once, with no shoes.

When I had mine, I put a large triangular pen in there, like one of those special ones for left handed people!

derinetly for keeping your toblerones kool in the summer.

yeah weird one

i think its to hold it down at higher speeds to stop it flapping, and deflect stones

saw someone come to one of my meets with toblerones stuck in em...i LOL'ed

haha

haha, what on earth is a left handed pen?!? Can't say I've ever struggled using a normal pen.

I always thought the triangles were weights to top it flapping about. They'd be shit for keep toblerones in, the engine heat would melt them :( I guess we'll just have to continue waiting until the science world comes up with the perfect triangular confectionery storage/transporting solution.

haha comedy thread!

i prefer the ones without the 'toblerones' on them, like i had on my jetta. trouble is, its a lot harder to find that type.

They are there to stop the back edge lifting up. Mine would lift when i got to about 60mph and start flapping like a bugger! it actually damaged the paint a little underneath due to the constant movement of it. wasn't bothered tho as the bra covered it! i just hope the new owner doesn't want to take it off!! haha

how? you'd expect a big spoiler on it to hold it down lol, and they dont do a good job of stopping it flapping anyway.....

no no magnets.....

Always thought they were for bull bars to go through. At least that's what they used were for on my uncle's Aerostar

Wheres the best place to get them for Mk3 polo's.

there for transporting illegal substances into shows.....................no one looks in there.................... :ninja:

My Mate CHarlie has made her own with no flaps ..

Its Fluffy Lepard Print 8-) for girls ..

That dosent flap around in the wind and dosent have any of the "Toblerone Holders"

Cant see a use for them really.. I'm sure there is one however ..
