looking good scott, has given me inspiration for making a gallery post for the GT now... what difference has the chip made to the engine?

Future plans are

  • Re trim door cards
  • Fit Central locking kit
  • A Cat 1 Alarm and Electric window kit
  • Scirocco GT front seats
  • 1.4 ABD Conversion
  • Tinted windows

how fast does it go ?

  • Author

haven't taken it above 100. Seems to get from 60 to 100 near enough same time as the old GT maybe a bit slower, but the exhaust system has definatly improved top end speed.

chip and afm make much difference

?

Didnt get a chance to set it up, so stuck the NZ/GT one on and going to leave it in the shed till i do the conversion, and the chip was the wrong one, so need to sell it on. Better edit it lol.

Little update, re-trimed home made leather look door cards, I'm no pro and first attempt, so not bad me think and for £9 you cant grumple.

I could never understand...(lmao it took me 3 attempts to spell that word, I'm tired), I could never understand stealth shelfs and that, how do the speakers sound with leather covering them? Certainly that cuts the mid range a bit and would it not drown out the high range almost completely? looks good by the way, just curious.

If you have a sub in the boot and some nice 8cm in the dash, you could probally get away with the loss of sound. TBH i think I'm going go get some decent 6x9's and make the holes so they sit inside.

you can get acoustic cloth, it is really good for hiding speakers on parcel shelfs and the similar..... i made an awesome stealth shelf for my old mk3 square for 6x9's.
