Saw one of these over in Germany recently... very very nice car...

...imagine the number of VW's that'll end with R36 engine conversions at next years shows

hactully troops he has a bently unit waiting to be installed  :p

Alternative to an Audi RS4?

I like...

there was a passat @ the taunton meet just gone with a bumper just like that.

I personally don't like it, it's a bit of a niche car like the Vectra VXR. A bunchful will be sold, but it will never truely be an alternative to an AMG or an RS4/6. The problem with fast saloons is that they have to ooze uber class and the Passat just doesn't have it.

The audi rs6 looks so much better than that. I'm not keen on new VW's styling atm.

twas a 2litre turbo

Its nice but as peeps have said doesn't look as nice as a rs4 or rs6!

With only 300BHP I don't think it's trying to look like an RS4 or RS6...it's a Golf R32...but big...and saloon-esque.

It definately won't be as good as an RS4/RS6. Will have to wait until the reviews come out. I like it a lot though

It's not after the RS4's spot by a long shot...as said its the R32's bigger brother... VW dont step on Audi's shoes

waiting?...its half way in already 8-)

Yep no where near Audi RS territory. It is rummoured the RS3 will be getting a turbocharged version of this engine though.

I think it looks great but there is a major amount of space between the front bumper and the floor........ needs serious droppage lol

Looks a right fat bastard IMO. The wheels may be 18" but they look small on the car such is its pumped up size.

Whilst the engine spec sounds nice, those DSG gearboxes are for poofs. :-p

Nah, not pretty or desireable in any way.

To be honist if I had the money ide go for this other passat wean it comes out at some point.

Clicky

It has the same engine as the r36 and it wont look like a barry wagon with bits bolted to it.

If it came like that photoshoped version then yeah!

Prefer an Audi though :)

Thats a well nice car, but id sooner still have the R32 :-)

Am sticking to my personal opinion on the Passat CC it just looks better that the R36
