tremendous!

could have washed it, haha. good effort parking in the disabled space!

anyway stop coming on ClubPolo and get on with your assignments!

  • Author

haha! just literally about to go hand my assignment in...

and the disabled space is the proper parking space for our house... needless to say i will be paraletic tonight!

manifold hard to fit? I'm worried about snapping studs!

  • Author

No mate... Just WD40 the nuts for a few days every now and then. get a socket set you really can trust and the nuts will crack off.

the studs should stay in the head so all you need is to use new nuts from VW or use the existing ones if they're not too bad.

you will need to drop the ARB one side i think but apart from that the manifold is a good job well done.

cool il give it a shot, how does it sound with the G40 backbox? how do they compare to say an after market stainless jobby flow wise?

  • Author

sounds really good with the G40 backbox mate, good tone, not loud or farty. hoping to get it RR'd in Feb so will let u know how much it's putting out!

Update: Wheels...

Managed to secure myself a set of 13x5 Alleycats! Just gotta go and pick them up. Gonna tart them up and spray them a nice silver colour. Probbaly whack a set of 165/65/13 GT standard tyres. here is a pic of them at the moment.

Another update...

I did manage to get the Alleycats, my brother picked them up for me as he was in the area picking up a suspension kit for his mk2.

Gonna get the tyres, weights and valves removed this week and start sanding them down between revision!

Think i'm going to go for a light silver, thebreadmaker's mk1 had silver alley cats on and looked pretty damn good i think.

My brother got me a powder coated rocker cover for my birthday last week too...

Finally, my brothers mk2... it's mint! Dropped on a 60/40 Weitec kit.

Cheers buddy :)

I got it second hand on here. It's made by duostyling if that helps.

Another photo-less update:

Got a Golf GTi AFM, in the process of setting it up. A bit of trial end error here and there. Modded a spare GT airbox to fit it however I think i will get a cone filter if the AFM is going to stay.

picking up a half-coded front bumper next weekend at the Polo Show so that should look pretty decent when it's on, got my hella clear indicators now.

I'm also thinking of replacing the panel where grille and lights sit as it's took a knock in the past so the grille looks like it's on the piss.

Squared myself an upswept DTM backbox too which should be going on when I get hold of it

need to polybush the TCA's and if i get myself a job she will be getting dropped probably 60/40. Pipe dreams eh?

Thanks to LeonL I received some lovely Weitec 60/40 springs. Just need to find myself some decent dampers now.

Still to polybush the TCA's; will do that when the suspension gets done!

60/40 drop on some 13x5 allycats... Should be pretty nice!
