i wouldnt say dump valves are gay though. they are functional and they show that youre running something worthwhile under your bonnet.

fake ones sound terrible! I've seen a corsa in wycombe with one, as soon as you lift of the throttle it seemed to pppsssshhhhhttt like the worlds longest dump! could not stop laughing!

Real dump valves = sign of power

if its a genuine decent dump valve and actually does help the engine and is not a chavy as loud as they come valve then i think there alright but them things are awful!

fake dump valves are gay... i hate it when people try and make their cars sound really fast.. i dont mind exhausts and actually improving the performance.. but ffs its obvious that its a fake dump valve on a 1.1 saxo...

Didn't the 5th gear presenter drive a Seat Cupra with no modifications except the electronic dump valve on a drag strip years ago?

If I recall he said the car was slow as hell but it sure was fun to drive with the silly sounds.

I wouldn't mind racing one but I wouldn't want one anywhere near my machine

I'm sorry but the ones in that video link (post #20) don't sound anywhere near as fun as the ones I saw in 5th gear.
