We then get to a 30 mph zone in the lil town i live, i follow behind them, n they are doin 40 .............................

now if there was a speed camera what would happen! i would get 60 pounds n 3 points yet they are doin it :@ grrrr

They don't have to actually have you on camera to stop you for speeding though. I know someone who got stopped and given 3 points and a £60 fine for speeding 6mph over the limit and it stuck! Not worth the risk to keep up with them imho

I know thats pretty shit but they're not always completely bad, I mean if you need to get someone to hospital in a hurry they will give you an escort, so that kinda saved my life... but unmarked cars are the devil! lol

P.S. gunnell16v - my mate's friend raced an undercover police r32 from his tuned r32 (supposedly around 450 brake) and raced to almost a hundred before they put the lights on, he got away with a warning though, he threatened to report their superiors for numerous driving offences that they attempted in the pursuit.... they werent too pleased but in the worry of losing their jobs they gave in with a "Dont let it happen again Mr ...." lol.

P.S. for all you Northern Ireland people, the police have an undercover R32, undercover blue Passat and an undercover mk4 Golf with R plates, and theres a police Evo 6 does patrol around Portrush / Portstewart around the cruiser places... also Ballycastle police station has a total of 2 marked cars lol

All undercover cars here are M5 estates or some Merc estate

And just ignore their antics, if they want to speed and risk getting caught let them, even if they are the Feds

Not saying it is the case, but they could have been responding to a semi-urgent call, ie one that doesn't warrant putting your tow all the way down and turning on the flashy stuff, but which they could do with getting to sooner rather than later nonetheless.

exactly the same thing happened to me earlier cops slowed down as i was apraoching them tthen started doing 50 in a 40

Funny story, my mate was pulling off from a round about n crashed into the back of a copper, but it was only casue the copper stalled so the police bloke was like "crap, I'm so sorry mate, dw about it" n my mate just drove away :p

on saturday, i followed a SPEED VAN doing 38-40 mph in a 30

In doncaster theres two BMW 530i-series estate undercover cars both with fully black tinted windows (of which i thought were fully illegal anyway) theres a black one and a light grey one.

Anyway me and my m8 were in his ibiza 16v (running 170bhp so its pretty rapid) on monday night and the grey one came flying up behind us, unaware that it was an undercover car he dropped it and floored it along some backroads, we went over 100mph and overtook several cars in a row aswell as hitting some lairy bends at stupid speeds, the beemer overtook us as we were hitting 80mph again and as we were approaching a small village which is a 30 zone, then about a mile down the road the car was pulled into a dirt bay just outside the village, as soon as we drove past (back at sensible speeds now) they proceeded to pull out right behind us and continued to tailgate him, it was a further two miles to his house and we got a tad worried as the car followed us up through his housing estate (which is very confusing) and watched us get out of the car and go into the house but we couldn't see anything due to the limo tints it had !!!

We rang the police to see if that car was on patrol that night and if it had registered its position at any point during our little "race". They couldn't tell us if that exact car was on patrol but they said that there had been a numberplate check carried out on his car 15mins before we rang them so it was obviously a copper as we didn't pass any other police !!! However we was told that his car was on a list of cars to look out for around the borough (due to him flooring it all the time) but surely that doesn't warrant a copper driving like that and not even pulling him !?!?!

Lesson, there a law unto themselves the 5-0 so we got to be careful, that officer driving the beemer pulled some silly stunts that night and if it had been me or my m8 doing the manouvers he did we would have got banned !!! Some of em are a r8 bunch of cock sucking, spunk swallowing, egotistical pricks who think there over the law and can do what they want, just gutted that the video i got of them doing this is barely visible otherwise i wanted to send it to the police HQ in Sheffield and teach the wankers a lesson

the reason is, they have to comply with the road laws just like anyone else...

if they are responding to an incident they have to at least have their blue's on if they are speeding

i overtook an unmarked car at 105mph in a 50 in my old corsa while overtaking a line of cars and i got a warning and a section 59. got off pretty lightly on that one i think
