So couple of months ago, filling up my car. Few days later, i say to myself "why can i smell petrol". Look at the fuel flap to find that i forgot to put the cap on after filling up rofl.

Washing my car today, didn't check that the windows were fully wound up to find water getting into the car.

Anyone else done anything stupid?

Washed my car with the roof down a few weeks ago.

left a £2000 video camera on the top of my mates car and drove off, it was in a case but still pretty stupid...

Forgotten to lock it before :s

Left the front door of my house wide open for two days and a night while I was staying away.

Lol I've left my petrol cap at the petrol station...lost my hub cap on my 1st car becuase i didnt know you have to put air in tyres and they went flat, driven around with my old tax disc in for 3 months....spilt grazy off a roast dinner all over my seat as i forgot they were titled and it seeped out the foil...dropped coke all over my exes speakers in his car becuase i forgot drinks move when you go around roundabouts....ooo theres a long list when it comes to me cars and stupid things lol.

i also always leave my car/house keys in my front door lock

Locked the car keys in the car. Lucky I have a spare! Left a maglight in the engine bay, forgotten a drink was on top of the car and driven away, put spare on my dads car with the wrong bolts. Thats all I can remember really, probably is more!

I misread you are post and mixed a few words around and could of sworn it said you had forgotten you are baby on top of the car...and i bloody have my glasses on.

Didn't shut my boot properly and flew open at 70mph on a duel carrageway and all my shit fell out on the road!

during an oil change, not putting the sump plug back in then not realising untill a litre had been put in

spending a long day on brakes, lowering the car onto the disk because we thought the wheel was on

Not my mistake but my mum half filled her diesel fabia VRs up with petrol. Weird thing was it didnt skip a beat and she used it all then filled it up with diesel again and there was never a problem!!!

left the locking wheel nut key on the wheel nut and drove off, 3 times now!

Borrowed dads car... being a 5door forgetting I've got a extra 2 doors at the back I've driven off with one of them left open, only to be shut by a lamp post....

Dad wasnt too happy and the door wasnt looking to good either lol

Back when i was in school, someone i know managed to walk into school with their car still running!! They'd parked it and just left it without knowing.

Bonnet not shut

i've done this on 2 cars, its pritty scary watching the bonnet float up over the windscreen while doing 30+
