Finally up for sale

Sorry it’s a bit of a story but relevant…..

The time has come to sell my polo. I always new it would be a long term project but it has taken too long (student funds). I ve had the car since September 2006. Over that time I have changed small things when I have had the money. I would love to keep the car as it is brilliant but the fact is I went studying abroad in august which means its been stood for 5 months. Now I have just found out I have the opportunity to do another 5 months of studying abroad, an opportunity I wont let slip. In a nutshell I wont be in England for most of 2008 and its already been stood so its just not fair on the polo.

Unfortunately the car was bumped while parked before I went away and has been repaired to a very good standard. It was minor damage requiring repair to the d/s wing.

General info on car includes:

1993 polo coupe on L reg

64k miles i missed last service by 3k otherwise fsh (little things carried out my self oil,etc)

12 month mot (just flown through only wheel bearing needed changing)

6 month tax

2 previous owners. (I bought it off a posh old lady)

Things I have done to the car:

Nicely lowered 70mm all round philJ kit

Upgraded interior G40 spec minus s/wheel

New chrome vw badge front and rear

Vw1300 badge

removed side strips

Chrome trim (easily removed)

Clear indicators

Cl repeaters

8ball gear knob

rev counter clocks

delocked passenger side

polished P-slots (may or maynot come with car upto you)

Gt Steelies

pressed metal plates (do have legal ones to)

all in all things that improve the car for originality rather than adding for personal touch.

Things that required replacing while I have owned the car

exhaust

Cam seal

Battery

Air filter

front bearings

And that’s it, really has been a brilliant car.

Body work is in very good condition for age (no dents) and so is the engine bay.

Now for bad points:

Drives bolster in good condition but seat material showing wear and tear.

Very few rust areas most noticeable one is the size of a 10p under petrol cap this and a few other areas was touched up by bodyshop when in wing was getting repaired. Will need proper work done to be perfect but it has cover the ugly patch. Others areas really require indepth study of bodywork.

Happened just today is a car lighter burn in seat. My little nephew experimenting while I was in petrol station. hardly noticeable.

The car has been one I have really enjoyed and sad to see go for me and end of an era.

Its never broken down always starts first time.

Some one is getting an excellent car, no doubt.

very good condition

polished could do with again to be mirror but still look the bees.

no center caps

polishing needs finishing in the center of wheel

4 good tyres with plenty of tread 2x uniroyal 2x fulda.

very little kerbing - nothing to cry about.

pic of the center of alloys. the rust spot has been touched up like i said and now hardly noticeable.
