ok basicly i bought a singal wiper that was custome made! (it works great nothing worng with the motor) but when i fitted it it seemed to be differnt as the plastic spacer/washer of some sort dont seem to fit over the pivote for the wiper. so just wondering are they differnt or am i just being stupid?? if it is i have sort a spacer/washer form some wheres cos the pivot moves ever so slightly!!

The only difference between the mk2 and 3 is the mk3 use bigger wiper blade spindles (the bit that makes the wiper arms rotate) They are smaller on the mk2 (M6 IIRC vs M8 on the mk3) So this could be your problem.

yea i had to drill my mk2 wiper arm for a quick repair so i could have wipers!! so the lil grommet that goes over the "spindle" on a mk3 must be bigger cos mine dont fit over it which gives it that bit of play.
