you are ok, my oil breather seems to be seeping oil slightly, is this normal cuz its Doing my head in cleaning up after it.

What gearbox oil should i use in the 16v? its basically in a suitable state to change it atm so i might aswell

Also what colour cone filter should i use, blue or red? ( k and n / jetex )

Edited by P20 DUB

if the oil breathers are the same as the late 8v remove it clean it out reseal it should stop it

not sure on the geerbox oil mate but id go for a blue cone filter if it was me

Nice work , Blue filter

i used genuine VW gearbox oil, pretty sure tej gave me the part no.! looking good though man, you going tidyvag 2moro?

i doubt it now m8 i might aswell carry on doing this seen as its apart, not 1 for half jobs

You need about three litres of gear oil - VW part number G052 726 A2

what about a bmc carbon enclosed air filter, if not id go for blue

I've already had 1 of them things

Gota give it to you craig, working hard to get that inspiration back!

Keep up the good work

are you still getting rid craig.

Craig with regards to the oil breather, i think...not sure though cos it was years ago my filter was clogged up...was a k&n at the time, i just got rid of it for the b&m and it solved the oily discharge problem a treat.

I THINK it was cos the k&n was clogged up and never cleaned.

B and M? i think maybe i need a new oil breather pipe to be fair plus I'm not sure why its spitting oil out of it. its abit annoying cuz its leaving specs all over my engine bay :@
