well after buying a full g60 setup about 3 months ago, i finally got them on the car!

the setup has brembo discs, pagid fast road pads braided lines!

my mate rick is a tech at Audi and he did them in an hour which was awesome as luckily everything came undone nice and easy no messing!

(does help having a beastly buzz gun tho) :)

i helped where i could, i mainly took pics and made the tea

obviously needed some 15's to clear the bigger brakes so fitted some different ones to the standard 16v wheels!

well happy with the looks but most of all the stopping power certainly an improvement

then took the thing for a jet wash and thought i would snap some pics on my phone

took tyres off them and fitted them to these wheels back when i bought the brakes with plans on fitting them straight away and run them through winter!

now winters almost over and the wheels have only just gone on

they are in my unit needing cleaning :(

loving the brakes!!! fill them wheels up nicely! not sure on the wheels thou

well my 16v brakes were in a sorry state (rusting inner disc), so they are a vast improvement.... they bite very well! i am impressed!

well done, congratulations to that brake.... is it 280mm diameter?

What will happen 2 the old 16V brakeparts... the callipers...... i believe i already asked u that on the last poloshow's saturday's dawn, if u make a good price i would recycle them for u as spareparts for me.

Hmmm all the rhd polos only have a 8" brakebooster, imagine how you are polo would brake with a 9" brakebooster, every lhd Polo 16V has such a 9" brakebooster cos there is more space for it in the enginebay. Won't u try to install a 9" brakebooster?

Believe me, the biggest part of difference the booster makes, first i had a 8" and then i swapped everything 1:1 against a 9" with complete 16V brakesystem....

hi Christian, so from skim reading your link i see you have fitted a larger master cylinder (brake booster?), but only 1cm larger...is it worth it?? Also what is it from? golf mk4????

the rear disc conversion looks good! is the axle powder coated or simply painted?

the parts are sat at the moment but would be available at a price yes :)

well i have had a fault with it for a few months now as i buckled the abs rotor behind the hub with too long a wheel bolt with some spacers i fitted Phil so intentions were to fix it yesterday and also replace the sensor. Problem i didn't take into account was the bearing is pressed into the hub so i couldn't remove the rotor to fit the new one....

My mate is gonna pressurise the brake system at Audi so it is bled 100% even though i think its bob on already...may pick up a new bearing this week and get him to sort the rotor get it onto the car for me if he has finished work on time next Saturday :-D

And yes that makes the difference... before that i had the old 8" booster and my moms and my sisters abs polo had the 9" booster... from factory on, already a difference like between night and day.... realy... only had to touch the brakepedal while in my polo i realy had to push it hard...

Here in germany every polo had abs from 1997 and that also means 9" booster with larger drums or on the 1.4/1.6 16V the discs.

So every 16V lhd also has 9" booster... u haven't got the 9" booster cos there is not enough space i think is the reason...

try to fix one and u will feel the difference....

The master cylinder is also a little bit larger... only that big in the 1.4/1.6 16V Polo...

Also the ABS Unit is from the 16V.....

Cos i wanted everything as it would have been on my polo from factory (if i would have bought a 16V)... thats the reason... a lot of people do mix the parts... so everything from other cars... nothing realy belongs together.... it may work, but it has nothing to do with that old german engineeringthing*lol*. Also that everybody can do, swappping 1:1 is much more harder to get it confirmed with german laws which are very strong/hard.

Yeah, sandblasted and powdercoated (together with the frontantirollbar from the mk4 limited GTI (22mm)) and also in all hollow spaces got rust protection... will not rust the next 100Years

And the axle has also the integrated antirollbar... so only from a 16V Polo

So what about the old callipers Christian?

make me an offer....they are low mileage as you know but i don't know how much they are worth at all :-)

they look cool, quite like those wheels aswell :p

also where are your plates from? really like them , alot more understated compared to the normal German pressed ones imo

wheels are only a temp thing as they are a mates, but i am surprisingly liking them too...

front one is a shorter 420mm one with uk bike font, the rear is standard size but just pressed uk font :)
