Not exactly a car, but the wiring loom makes my polo look basic

This is a "test" bike that Beru F1 Systems have been using to develop their new £10K () push bike...

The best bit of the bike was the Left hand crank, which had been made specially...

Featuring a right hand thread  .. which will just undo itself as the bike is ridden.. a slightly worrying mistake, the pedal wasn't even square in the crank!!

And apparently Lewis Hamiltons gonna have one of the production models

I'd feel like a homosexual riding around on that.

WTF is all that wiring for?

Haha, i know! On the production models apparently all the wirings concealed. Fuck knows what its all for, it works out stuff like power output, cadence and probably what colour pants your wearing  Bit ott if you ask me, ceramic disk brakes on a road bike  , they'll probably break the frame and fork eventually!

Put electronics on it is just saying "heres some stuff that will break so we can have you back in spending fortunes having it fixed"

Oi Thats one of my company's data loggers bolted on to that bike. Look on the side of it, it may have my initials on the tamper proof label as i test those alot at my work (did about 30 today). Your loom looks a bit modified too!!! I like the masking tape telling you where the accellerometer axis's are.

What is the logger set up to log out of interest?

Edit: Kam asked why you need all that wiring... I doubt that will be on the finished product they will be analysing different parts on the bike like ride height, stress and strain on specific parts on the frame,

Exactly! And at ten grand, you can imagine how wide they'll have you spread when you get the bill!

:paranoid: errr... english? Sorry i have no idea about any of the electronics, tried not to look too closely.. got me sweating just looking at it

It's no longer at work though so can't check the logger for your initials, as if you make the loggers though, small world. All a bit too tech for me! Can do nuts and bolts and bearings :-)
