Model: Polo Coupe S '89

Engine: 1272cc, Custom Red Rockercover, Jackson Tuning (philj) exhaust and 1x90mm tailpipe, K&N E-1210 Air Filter, and a GT Gearbox (the car came with it cos the guy couldnt find a standard one and haven't got round to changing it - 1st gear is a bitch to get into).

Suspension: Jackson Tuning shocks 40/40mm.

Brakes: Standard OEM

Wheels and Tyres: Standard coupe steels custom sprayed.

Exterior Styling: Red trim round bumpers and grill.

Interior Styling: GT Seats

Comments: I bought this car for £150 off a mate last june and have been working on it ever since. Its done well over 180k but still runs smoothly. I passed my driving test on 19th November last year so I've been driving it ever since!

Next jobs:

10mm lowering caps at front

4 branch manifold

banding the steels

I'm gunna see if i can save for a weber 32/34 carb!!

The gear linkage needs adjusting right where it enters the box. 1st will be fine then.

How did you get your bumpers so dark??

this car is pretty much how mine is going to look, same colour, same lowering kit inc topcaps (waiting for the post man), i've got the G40 BBS wheels tho and the weber DMTL carb already :biggrin:

if you heat gun bumpers they go back to black.

i used some of this vinyl paste that was up my dads garage for the bumpers. seems to have done the trick :)

u dont happen to have the old coupe s rocker cover do you? or is the custon one just the original one painted..?

got my 40/40 kit today, what setting did you choose for the rears? and did you chop the bumpstop down in size at all?

yer its 40/40 but the rear is lower!! didnt do anythign with the bump stops.. reckon I'm gunna get some lowering caps for the front to even things out a bit.

thats what i have done, beware of the top cap catching on the inner wing, i've got to space mine out a bit, bastard things. i'm on the highest setting for my rears. you finding the ride stiff as f.........
