some of you will know my current project, but this will shed light on it for everyone else, this is up everywhere else but clubpolo lol, but reckon some of you will appreciate it.

Having seen a couple of supercharged ABFs around i managed to meet up with them at ace cafe last summer (thank you testicle for the intro) and since then have acquired various parts needed:

Eaton M45 Supercharger , S works Model -

Universal Intercoolers Medium Intercooler -

Ford Cosworth "Green Top" Injectors -

V3.0 Megasquirt ECU (no pics yet)

1.8T Inlet Manifold -

1.8T Fuel Rail and 3.5 BAR fuel pressure regulator (courtesy of Craig) -

2 x G60 Head Gaskets (until i can get some S2 pistons and rods) -

Work finally begun a couple of weeks ago, i want to know as much as possible about what is going on and happening so we do it on sundays so that i can work / learn at the same time.

Intercooler being fitted:

Bumper off

Got the intercooler out (ebay)

then began the cutting, grinding and welding to the front panel

and this was the result of nandos, cutting and welding, it certainly aint going anyway now. We did have to trim some of the bumper (inside) and the splitter, apart from that it fits really nicely, i'm well chuffed

That's the progress so far, should be finished in the next couple of weeks (Wheels on, brakes overhauled and engine finished).

The Target Power and torque is 210bhp and 190lb/ft which i'd be more than happy with, wouldnt be too shabby for a 19 year old student.

I've spent roughly £1800 on parts atm (excluding wheels)

not finished yet, but my insurance price will be dependent on the increase in bhp, which will be around 90-100 increase, i think my excess will go up, i'm TPFT with HIC, so we'll see lol

read the thread on the cupra forum, should be very impressive once finished and i'm sure the eaton whine will be sufficient to keep you smiling for a fair while!

nah it'll probably be finished on that sunday, i wanted it ready for UD but no money made things a little tricky, will be at Gti Springfest though

and i probably will take all the stickers off lol

yeh HIC were really helpful, that's with coilies and stainless exhaust declared, and as long as you have locking wheel nuts your wheels are covered up to £500

two of my mates have done this on mk3 golfs, 1.8 8v and a 2.0 8v. the results are quite impressive, should be another one soon, but not a golf. good work though mate, you've researched well lol
