MASSIVE UPDATE FOR YOU FOLKS, enjoy :)

its been an expensive couple of months

a couple of pics of the new work:

took the rocker cover off cos i want it to look OEM ish, so i've stripped the paint off it, fitted a new scuttle panel as my one was 5hagged, and some of the parts i'm hoarding

and these daddies

the frames for the seats are on order, and i'm fitting the braces tomorow, once that's all sorted its getting the longlife treatment and an MOT

also a couple of snowy pics

Small update.

I've found out what the starting issue was which is funny.

When the car came I spotted a big NO NO.

On a lowered car like this it wouldn't of taken long before the outer casing would of cut and shorted out to earth.

Out came this baby

Then a thick rubber gromit.

And did the same again on the other side.

As I remove the power lead from the battery clamp I saw some green tape? Removed the tape to find the wires just pushed together? Not good! so sorted that out and it now starts a lot better:funk:

Still can't work out why strut bars only have 6mm holes and come with screws which brake.

So I drilled out the holes to 8mm and got a load of 8.8 M8 nuts, bolts and washers.

That's better.

Then used some of this stuff to stop rust.

Will update mid week.

yeh lol this is true, or i would have spent ages trying to fit the wrong frames

right its been fun and games this morning, had to push the car off my drive so that the AA would come and pick it up, my driveway is uphill and got the biggest bump on it. BUT i persevered and after the 3rd hernia of my life and nearly slipping another disc i got it on the road and perfectly parked. Heres how she sits (splitter came off whilst coming off the dropped kerb )

the contrast mate :), i use a circular polarizer filter on my slr, changes which colours come through the lens, and what reflections do what

lol oooh, never thought of using polarised lenses like that, at work we just use them to block out scattered/waste light that isnt needed
