It's probably the car that made audi what it is today. The original 2.1 Turbo 5cylinder quattro.

I love this show. Life on Mars was good, but I'm not a fan of the 70s. I love the 80s though, therefore this show is awesome! Not to mention Keeley Hawes...

its mud compared to life on mars though, shes a shit actor and not convincing, and as much as i love that quattro, give me the cortina gxl anyday, would probably only last a day though with our weather before dissolving into a pile of orange mush :)

What about the fact that it's not a colour that was available on it? Although, It could be mars red I suppose (and it would make sense on many levels!) but it looks too orange to me. Were they not all turbos nick?

The GXL from life on mars was wrong as well in similar ways. Some poetic license is granted I think... Plus some of the music post dates 1981 too I think.

The UK did not get a RHD Audi you are quattro until late 1982, early 83.

They more often than not have to get the best condition car for the props department and make do.
