1300 f reg mk2. 104K on her, £60 ebay job with mot and tax

was fuel prob, just rust in zee tank so cleaned it out and runs mint.

i bought it stock, not like this btw!

I've just got a Coupe S Myself and I'm wanting to do something similar .

Regarding the front arches .. What car are they off or what company were they baught from ?

I am looking at doing this myself but dont have the skills to fabricate a set of four identical arches.

Iff i can get hold of some arches then welding the filling to smooth would not be a problem .

what are you gunna do with the rears?

mk1 golf repair arches i should think and euro car parts do then!

the arches are cut off corrado wings. well the fronts, rears will be off the quarters.

same on the rear but maybe keeping the kinda "flat" looking arch of the mk2. will see, i gotta sort the inner arch too.

The corrado arches fit well with no modification then ?

Iff so i might have to look for a corrado to chop up . Would feel slightly bad doing it as I'm sure iff one has decent arches then the shell and wings would be too good to cut .

Supose its all in aid of a sweet Mk2

(will-antirocks) Mk1 Golf arches fit aswell .. they would cost through the roof though i imagine .

well i got the raddo free.

they fit ye, but far from just abit of weld and filler. need extending at the front as the raddo has a huge bumper and i haven't any!

looking forward to seeing the arches with primer on and seeing how they work on the body!

Will look damn cool when finished!! I'm not gonna lie but, looks like you've got your work set out for you, unless you like the wind noise without a door and a bootlid lol. What colour you doing it, primer grey? Also, you keeping that left wing vent?

vent = yep the metro bonnet vent is probably staying, needs work.

arch = only one done still, gotta get the rocco bay ready for paint, will do the other this week i expect, its lookin real good filled and primed, lots of work ye but its rude!

thought it might be abit to much but from the front its quite subtle, which was kinda the idea so i can stick some 7's or 8's on alright. can't wait to tackle the rears!!

door and boot = ye the old ones were rusty, too bad really, need to pick replacements up sumtime...

almost finished one arch now, tis lookin realy good, got the wheels above on and 20mm spacers, sits so tight, its so rude. will have pics of the weekend in the open...

hey, its from a truck that VW made, not an LT i don't think, can't remember. but its huge and just cut down.

did a little work as my rocco still won't start.

arches comin on really well. the motor is still kinda shit high!

doors back on, holes welded up in the floor pan, so its closer to MOT time which is cool. just need more cutting discs for the raddo quarter's.

quick update:

body work is slow, ran out of gas on the mig. ghey!

dropped in a 1400 16v engine on the 1300 clutch and box, seems to be alright so far untill i pressed the clutch and something went ping, poo out it comes.

will be on R6 carbs and a 4 branch.

and ye i'm basically stealing Joels idea with the 1600. but with a 1400 i had floating about. ideal!

You're not the only one julian, I went and bought a set of R6 carbs after his write-up too! lol. Cars comin on well, really lookin forward to the result, I'll do a photoshop for you when I finish work at 10, if you want? Let you try out a few colours!!
