Came home from uni for the weekend and thoguht i'd do a few bits to my car seeing as all my parts and tools are at home here in oxford.

Fitted my votex grille, i'm really after a hella square-lamped grille but thoguht i may as well use it as it's doing nothing. I glued my other Gt badge to the grille as the votex grille doesn't have the lugs for it.

I also fitted my mk3 foglamps, when i removed them from my old coupe they were filthy, i took them apart and washed the lenses out and left to dry for a few days then assembled them back together- i was really surprised how shiny the glass came up, so much more shiny than they were before!

I also fitted my front arch trims, then i found that there are no pre-drilled holes for the sill trims unlike the coupe so i need to get some really strong glue, or drill some self tappers into the car.

In the next month i will purchase a pair of rear arch trims as i know a supplier local to me (i think) and then the car will look a bit better in my opinion!

on the way back from my brothers i saw a MINT mk1 jetta getting filled with fuel, it was concourse and driven by an old man, i really wanted to say to him how lovely his car was- the steel wheels were like new it was amazing!
