I think the only person who can answer that is the person who built it, TBH. All else is pure speculation. But having spent 30 seconds thinking logically about it, maybe one of the following:

Its different

It pimps hard

Cooling

Weight distribution

To piss you off

For easy engineering of rear wheel drive

For show

etc etc etc...............

it pimps hard - define the term? it doesnt remotely pimp hard in my views of what pimping hard means

Cooling - Yeah stick it behind the cabin instead of at the front where it has a direct feed of cold air!

Weight distribution - i cant comment on this as i dont know the technical side of things, but i imagineall the weight at the back will lighten the front end up? again i dont know...

To piss you off - why would it piss me off? only thing that pisses me off is the dumb comments on this post!

it might be an easy way of getting rear wheel drive, but it looks ugly as fuck, i would have at least tried to cover it up, hide it...

easy engineering of rwd? a caddy would have been easier front engine rwd, more axel choices etc etc. rather than building a subframe and different suspension. but i suppose its just as much work either way!

cooling is irrelevant. sticking the engine there puts it in a point of aerodynamic high pressure, so theres not really that much airflow over it.

weight distribution advantage only works if the rest of the suspension is setup for it. my guess is it isnt, and probably has some sort of generic coilover kit on it, not custom rated to make it work
